  1. Q: Why Does Concrete Settle?

A: There are a few different reasons why concrete can settle. They range from poor soil conditions, poor compaction, tree roots, or poor drainage.

  1. Q: What’s the difference in using Polyurethane Foam vs. Mudjacking?

A: Mud-jacking uses a sand-based material that is infused with Portland cement and is heavier (100 lbs. per cubic foot) than our foam and can wash away after time. It also requires bigger holes to be drilled. It takes 1 5/8 inch holes. Foam is lighter per cubic foot (2 lbs. per cubic foot), only requires 5/8 inch drilled holes. Our foam also works to bind the concrete together like a form of re-bar under the surface whereas mud jacking actually causes more moisture to be put into the surface under your concrete slab. This moisture can be a problem down the road. Our foam is 95% hydrophobic compared to our competitors foam that is 35-50%.

  1. Q: Is the foam used safe for the environment?

A: Yes. We use the best foam for the safety of your home and the environment. It is made from recycled material and it will not leach into the soil at all.

  1. Q: Do I have to wait a long time after raising the concrete to use it or drive on it?

A: No. You can drive on it, play on it and use it the same day after we finish our work.

  1. Q: What concrete surfaces can be raised?

A: We can raise steps, garage approaches, stamped concrete, walkways, driveways, patios, garage floors, streets, curbs, gutters, highways, parking lots, and even airport runways.

  1. Q: How do I know if concrete raising is what I need?

A: If you see any cracks or crumbling of your concrete surface, pooling water on your concrete, or porches and patios pulling away from your foundation. And it only gets worse unless you take immediate action.

  1. Q: How long is the process from start to finish?

A: Typically, we can get your project done in one day depending on how big your project is. And usually the process is only a few hours. And as we’ve said above, you can use it shortly after we are done. We also can work 7 days a week if need be so we can get your job done and done right!
